Stampin Up Convention 2013

Well there were 5800 Demonstrators attending Convention this year! It was so fun and exciting to meet up with friends I have made over the years! This was my fourth consecutive convention!

Count Down Until National Convention!

Yes indeed....the count down has started until I depart for a very sunny and hot Salt Lake City!
I'm most excited as this year all of my 3 direct down line are attending also! I remember my first time out there and what excitement I experienced. I cant wait for Sue, Shannon, and Julie to experience this also! We have all been busy making our swaps! I have 50 of one card done! I just received my box of Holiday goodies today and I'm going to make my next swap with Holiday product!

It has been a very long time since I have posted on my blog....always busy...
I have been busy building my Stampin Up family...I now have four wonderful downline.

Below are some pictures from my craftroom remodel project...there is still more to do, but I am now in there holding classes and club meetings every month! Have a peak and see what I did!

I found these wonderful solid maple cabinets on Craigslist...

We went and picked them up with our cattle trailer! Yes a cattle trailer!

Then there are pics of a somewhat completed room...between fall work on the farm and hunting season my lighting and suspended ceiling are put on hold until December!

Wonderful Time at Stampin Up National Convention

I did have a great time in Salt Lake City, Utah.....I attended Stampin Up's Convention.  We even toured their home facility in Riverton, Utah this year. The classes were very informative. I am having a meeting with my down line next week to share some of what I learned....These are some classes I attended while there....

Next year will be Stampin Up's 25th Convention, I can't wait to see what will be in store for us then!
My Down line are already saying they are going to attend....How fun that will be !

Last Day At The 2012 Convention

Hi Everyone;
This has been a long convention!  Some of the days have been longer due to extra classes taken!
My Digital Studio has been revamped.  Its release date is fast approaching on August 1st! WOW is all I can say on all the added software to this program.  I had a 2 1/2 hour class last night.  A very seasoned veteran of MDS sat next to me.  Her reactions to all the new features told me its going to be a really great tool to use.  For me, I need to find time to work with it so I can be comfortable teaching it! I myself would really love to make a hard covered book! That is one goal I am leaving convention with this year!
All four of my wonderful Down line are expressing a great interest in attending next year....Next year should be awesome...first if my Down line attend with me and second its going to be Stampin Up's 25th Convention....I am sure it will be thee place to be next July! I will post pics once I get them organized.  I brought my Ipad which was nice and light!
Have to get going to get ready for today!

Card Swaps Ready For Convention!

Hi to all;
I apologize for such an absence in posting....absence....its more like I left the planet of blogging!
Sorry
I have a very busy life....Dairy Farm, Job at local school, My Stampin Up Gig, 5 kids, sports for the children....hockey, hockey, indoor soccer, outdoor soccer, softball....the list goes on....

So onto the really good stuff....Stampin Up...!
I leave next Tuesday for Salt Lake City, UT    woooo hoooo   I am really getting excited now that my card swaps are complete....Thank you to Sue St. Pierre, Melody LeClair, Paula Banyea, and Deanna Smith for helping me.....oooooo lets not forget my eight yr old daughter Lora!  All I have left to complete are my 3-D's.... I have an idea so now its time to construct them!  That's the best part...playing with all the new holiday DSP, Stamps, Ribbon, and Embossing Folders.....
Here are my card swaps waiting to get packed into my carry on luggage....These precious babies do not ride below in the main luggage.....ooooo gosh if they ever got lost....we wont go there...

Rudolph Gift Tag Holder

My dowline Sue came over this morning...we just made this cute gift card holder...originally it was a box, but we wanted it made into a gift card holder...Isn't Rudolph cute with his little button horns and shiny red nose! Easy peasy to make....Credit on the original Rudolph box goes to Wunsapona Time...you can find the tutorial on U-Tube....Have fun with him! We did!

So here are some projects I have made in the last couple weeks....My downline is growing....my downline Shannon now had her own downline....how exciting for us all! Shannon and Sue invited me to their club meeting last night...lovely and enthusiastic ladies! Two projects shown here were what we made last night! Their girls loved the boxes with treats!  Rainy day here so I am crafting today! Happy Saturday everyone!

Our Daughter Is Back In The United States....

Our daughter Amanda has returned to the United States.....She is in NJ and has some business to finish up there...hopes to be back to Vt in about a week?  This ends her year long deployment to Iraq.  She will be so happy to be back with her four year old daughter!

My Wonderful Wall Decor Project....

Hi Everyone;
I Finally finished this idea I had brewing in my head...It really didn't take long to do, but with all of my interruptions from work, kids, and family...it did take longer than expected to get it onto the wall of my living room!
I've had this antique frame for as long as I can remember...I knew someday I would do something great with it...it has hung in my shop garage all these years! The kids never destroyed it-that is amazing that they didn't use it for a basketball hoop or something... My inspiration for this project came from page 112 of our Stampin up main catalog...it featured a card that said "Create Everyday"  My Sassy Scrappers group meets monthly at my house and I thought wouldn't that be a great saying for them to see.  So the wheels started turning in my head...I could make tags, decorate them with our wonderful Designer Series Paper..in this case I used one of my favorite now finds: Spice Cake! My down line Sue and Shannon just love this paper also.  I then decorated a few of the tags with embellishments after applying the letters to the tags.  Our new Mini Clothespins were a wonderful addition....then I can change my tags to go with the season's! Next I am going to use the fantastic Designer Series Paper entitled: Pick Your Poison...I can't wait to dress up those tags with some "Howl-O-Ween Creeps"....I'm going to have a creepy good time!
I've also posted some of the projects my gals made on Friday at our club meet...I would like to thank Sandi MacIver for the inspiration of one of the cards....The other inspiration came from a swap I received at Convention in Utah: Susan Schemp...enjoy todays post...
At the farm we are going to see what Hurricane Irene brings us tomorrow...Lets pray my corn stays standing with the wind....
